DiSCOmBoBuLatE Artist in Residence
Jenny draws Bjork at Connect 11 Festival
Jenny Soep draws live unique events, translating the experience into drawings.
Using a range of art media to create images that express the colour,
movement, energy, characters and emotion of the live productions, she
essentially captures the essence of what is occurring round about her.

Jenny specialises in drawing arts and cultural events, focusing
on those that are imaginative, poetic, lyrical and music based.

As well as this, she is on a mission to draw the contemporary
original music scene, especially in Scotland her home country.

All pictures on this site have been drawn on location while the
events have taken place, taking from 1 minute to a few hours.
Her images have been used in various editorials, websites,
books, blogs, promotional material and exhibitions worldwide.

Jenny is also available for workshops, talks and residencies.
Prints and some originals are available of all the images on
this site. Please email your enquiries to info@jennysoep.com

Caught

Torchlight splays over
the sand to find
Me and a Man

Well, one does what one can
but there's a ban
on this beach

I head home
and he follows my lead.

Dumped

In a cupboard.

The most loved things
can be
the most neglected,
falling in and out of favour
getting tossed out with the trash
then picked up
rediscovered
by somone
who'll love me
all over again.

Possibly toss me out too
or
set me on fire.
